- Refugees, displaced people namely displaced women widows and orphans we serve have big dreams. But have big challenge to educate their children by their own. We bring those completing our vocational training into small cooperatives. We create a product or service. We then provide startup capital by contributions. We started with our own contributions. Through our continuous presence, each cooperative receives mentoring on production management, profit and pricing, record keeping, digital marketing, and other skills that they identify as important to their business. Regular audits and meetings help us evaluate progress and needs.
- Vocational Education
- Vocational Education is a program designed to increase the skillset of refugees who want a reliable source of income by themselves. We conduct hands-on training to young women who seem to be extremely poor. Our trainings include tailoring, soap making, community-driven farming, milk production, digital literacy, etc. And also life skills such as reproductive health, goal setting, .We conduct hands-on training to young women who seem to be extremely poor. - At the end of the program, trainees come up with business plans that can be funded by CRI. We measure success of each plan based on evidence of impact. Join us to show Donors the need we care about is real and that by supporting this program they are truly making a difference.
- With our Initiative, we tailored or sewed 250 uniforms of scholars in four schools in our refugee camp Kakuma Kenya with only 4 Tailoring machines in five schools such as:
- 1. Fashoda primary school
- 2. Jebel Mara primary school
- 3. Bar el Naam girls primary school
- 4. Unity primary school
- 5. Mogadishu primary school.
As a result, many parents and head masters of these loved our work and insisted that it should be known by Kenyan government. Now we are officially recognised and registered. We aim that refugees study in a calm and quiet environment as other people in the world. We believe that a refugee or a poor person can accomplish much and can contribute to the world development once well - educated or trained. Our target are the most vulnerable people in refugee communities namely orphans, widows and people living on less in East D.R.Congo. We are planning to equip them with learning equipment their needs, women, widows we want to teach them skills that will enable them to auto-finance like tailoring, soap making, and farming vegetables needed in their communities. Whether you’re a
skilled specialist or you’re young academics looking to join a voluntary service, with us you can create opportunities for refugee women; widows and orphans and learning from them in the process.
Now we need 150 more Tailoring machines, chairs, tables and some few office equipments to advance our project in Nyarugusu camp Tanzania, Nakivale refugee camp Uganda, Zambia, Tangogara refugee camp Zimbabwe and people living in most conflicts areas of D.R.Congo our home country. In Kakuma Kenya,in our offices, we have Wifi that need internet Bundles each month. But now our program is conducted by contributions and volunteers. We really need financial support. But these machines are not enough because we have a lot to do. We beg anyone who will be touched with our Initiative, may lend us a helping hand to buy those tailoring machines or give us a link of sponsors that can support us and advance our project.
